GETTING READY FOR GREATNESS!

Graduating from Year 6 to secondary school is a big change.  After spending several years in the same school, and the same class, the end of year 6 can be a scary and daunting time as you prepare to move up to a completely new school, with new classmates.

We want to make your transition to Gumley an exciting experience and will be in touch regularly throughout the summer term to ensure your child knows us, knows their Head of Year, and knows what to expect when they become a Gumley Girl!  You can find a series of resources below which have been specially prepared by our partners in PiXL to help with your transition to your new school.

The lessons are based on the books You Are Awesome by Matthew Syed and Go Big by Matthew Burton. Each session will take pupils through some big ideas to help them on their way to secondary school.
