Year 12 linguists at UCL for an intensive day.

Monday 17 June, our year 12 A Level languages students spent the day at University College London for an intensive language day delivered by the language team at the university.

All four languages were represented and students had workshops on culture, literature history and debates in the target language.

Students had a tour of the campus and had also a chance to speak to post graduate students about life at the university and how learning languages at Higher Education can open doors for the future.

"It has definitely made me think about doing Law with Spanish" said one of our year 12 students.

"I really enjoyed the day and I have learnt a lot" said Ellen who studies A Level French.

This workshop is an annual event and is often a platform for our linguists to start their UCAS applications looking at languages courses from a different perspective."
