Sixth Formers in Paris Conference

Some of our Sixth Form will be travelling to Paris, France this weekend to attend an international Youth Conference with a panel of MPs.

Representatives from our Sixth Form are travelling to Paris this weekend to attend the International Youth Conference 'Your Future In Europe' which attracts an audience of over 2,500 students.
Its popularity year after year lies in the fantastic calibre of speakers, ranging from leading politicians to experts in European business, economics and culture. The conference is held in the prestigious Palais des Congrés in the heart of Paris, the perfect setting for tackling Europe’s most current issues.
The conference traditionally starts with a look at The Expansion of the European Union. This continues to be a key area of our conference and is the basis for many of the questions asked by students later in the day.
The undisputed highlight of the day is the Question Time session with a panel of leading MPs and cutting edge journalists. Past years have seen Michael Portillo, Patricia Hewitt, Charles Kennedy and Ken Livingstone face the audience as the students are encouraged to voice their own opinions and questions to them - uncensored and with no holds barred!  This year brings key MP's such as Vincent cable.
