'Pride and Prejudice' Rehearsals Photos 2015
Here are parent (of 'Lizzie Bennet'), Adaleine Teo-Richards' photgraphs from rehearsals. They really capture the fun, enthusiasm and effort that went into this production over our three month rehearsal process. Thanks, Adaleine!
Costuming this show with over seventy performers, including the Gumley string ensemble, in Regency-style costume, was no mean feat! Our eternal thanks go to LSA, Margaret Bohan, for her superb hand-made costumes for the Bennet girls and others. They were outstanding, and Margaret deservedly won this year's Jack Petchey Leader's award for her commitment to young people's development - both academic and creative - at Gumley over many years of service.
Thanks also to Questor's Theatre for costume hire, and to past student, Leila Sangtabi and our LAMDA teacher, Allison Hancock, who lent us magnificent bags of theatrical costume of the era. You never know what you have in your cupboards!
Enjoy the photographs!
