The Sixth offers its students greater freedom and opportunity but along with this comes more responsibility.
It is a time for them to take control, a time when they will make important decisions as they prepare for their next chapter, and a time where they will grow intellectually and personally.
It is the most challenging work they will have undertaken so far; however, everything is in place at The Sixth to help them thrive and meet that challenge.
Through our extensive choice of A Level and BTEC courses, students can delve deeper into their academic passions, while forming more mature relationships with teachers who will support them every step of the way. Our university, career, enrichment and scholars’ pathways provide students with the opportunities to develop a broad portfolio of skills as they work towards a place at university or a future career.
As well as a Sixth Form Centre, with access to a common room, study rooms, iPads and a fully resourced library, we have an expansive sixth form team which boasts two tailored roles that further support students in achieving their future ambitions - a Careers & UCAS Officer and Director of Global Learning.
Life at The Sixth is not just about working hard. We promise an experience which also offers plenty of laughter, fun and friendship. Students can join a sports team, hone their creative talents, attend social events and take part in charity fundraising.
So if you want to be part of a dynamic sixth form and want a whole range of new experiences, individual attention and the chance to succeed in whatever future pathway you choose – then join us at The Sixth Gumley House.
