World Book Day

World Book Day at Gumley started with our Year 7 Spelling Bee in the Assembly Hall. The whole of Year 7 cheered loudly for their champion spellers. The theme for the dress up day was 'Heroes and Villains' with some great characters presented across the school.

The adventures continued, with a book swap event and the launch of our striking 'Share the magic' telephone box, which saw students and staff recommending favourite reads and sharing the magic of reading outside Student Services.
