Working in Partnership
This morning, we opened the gates to our local primaries, to embark on an adventure through the Gospels, on the journey to Bethlehem.
Pupils came face to face King Herod, who has been warned that the Messiah is due to be born soon and met with the Shepherds, who retold the tale of when The Angel Gabriel visited and brought good news of a baby, God’s son, born in a manger.
Pupils had a very special meeting with the Angel Gabriel, who delivered the news that the Son of God would soon be born, to Mary. This was followed by an incredible Gospel Choir performance led by the Angels, the pupils did a fantastic job!
And so, Jesus was born! We met with Mary and Joseph, saw Jesus in his manager surrounded by the animals and had the chance to reflect on their wishes and hopes in the Gumley chapel.
The Nativity culminated with a stop at the Innkeepers Lodge and a carol performance by our Gumley Choir.
We would like to thank all of the schools that joined us this morning. We are dedicated to building strong relationships with our local primaries and we look forward to launching our primary programme, early 2024. Stay tuned!
