WOW – International Day of the Girl

Women of the World - London Eye Mentoring & Conference

Celebrating the power and potential of girls everywhere & consisting of a fast paced programme.

‘A hugely inspiring day’ is the resounding feedback from students from Gumley’s Sixth, who successfully applied to achieve this experience.

Starting with a memorable speed mentoring session on the London Eye, our students discussed a range of issues relating to their future, with female mentors from different professions, who were incredibly welcoming and motivating.

Jude Kelly in conversation with Clara Amfo at the National Theatre

Feet firmly back on the ground, students joined this special discussion with Jude Kelly, Theatre Director and Producer, also the Founder & Director of the WOW Foundation.

Jude Kelly was talking to Clara Amfo, presenter of the BBC Radio 1 mid-morning show and its famous Live Lounge slot. Topics addressed included: Dealing with inequality and other challenges such as work/life balance.
