Shakespeare's Globe Learning

Back in June, we selected three Year 12 students at the Gumley Sixth to participate in the Jeremy Lemmon auditions at Shakespeare's Globe. An intensive but incredible day, our students enjoyed the chance to visit the Glove, participate in workshops and watch the matinee performance.

We were thrilled to hear feedback that staff were blown away by the standard of auditionees, and that #GumleyGirl Verissa has been offered a place on the project. Feedback included that she showed wonderful commitment and enthusiasm, and that the team believed she would be a great asset to the group.

Whilst unfortunate that Tadgh and Faith did not get a place, organisers commented that they were fantastic, created inspiring and encouraging performances and we congratulate all our students for taking part and giving it their all!
