Good News from RE
Year 9
On Wednesday 21st of November, 50 Year 9 students attended a trip to BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Neasden. The students have been learning about different world faiths in their lessons. This trip enabled them to experience a Hindu place of worship, they attended a Arti service which is a prayer service and also learnt a lot about Hindu traditions and history. It was a very enjoyable day and students were overcome with amazement at the grandness of the temple!
Year 7
On Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st of November, our Year 7s had their first RE retreat. This retreat centred around friendship and enabled the students to have a space for reflection on their first term of Gumley and to enhance and deepen their faith and understanding of our Core values of our school- the FCJ values and how we can use them in our friendships at school. They really enjoyed the day!
