Comments from contributors:

One of the best events I have been to. Students were fantastic and it was really well organised

Touched by how polite, respectful and engaged everyone was.

This event was really, really good. I think it was executed really well. There was a variety of organisations and educational institutions available for students to learn about. The students on hand were brilliant all day asking if we needed any refreshments and always making sure we were alright. The catering was fantastic. So much selection! I think this was a brilliant event and should be done every year like this!

The students were very interested compared to other fairs I've been to. The questions they were asked to find out on the sheet was useful for the ones too shy to ask much, but then lead to good conversations.

Gumley's Careers Fair 2024 offered us as ambassadors for careers in games the opportunity to have many useful conversations with a wide number of students. We were able to offer advice for subject choices, suggest extracurricular activities, and point towards high value learning materials or research. While games studies certainly wasn't for everyone, many students came away with the knowledge of a career and study path that they were likely not previously aware of.

I thought it was an extremely well-run event. The students were very engaged and I hope took a lot away from the day.

Comments from students:

I thought it was perfect, and organised really well. I found it very helpful!

It is the best careers fair ever

It was good, gave a lot of information.

I think the people brought in explained everything simply and truthfully. Gave me a better perspective on the world of law as well as other potential careers.
