Supporting those supporting others
Our Lenten project focusses on staff and students 're-connecting'. It is vital that we, our family members and our wider community reconnect, particularly as we journey through the pandemic. It is vital that we think about self-care, physical and mental wellbeing and supporting others during these challenging times. Rather than the usual thoughts of ‘giving up’ something for Lent, we would also like the Gumley community to focus on acts for charity and prayer.
Our Lenten Project 21 has 2 elements for students and families to take part in. We are getting active and clocking enough miles to get us to Australia. Additionally we are making special efforts to get our community reconnecting in a drive to conquer loneliness.
The money raised this year will be shared with the Catholic Children's Society Crisis Fund and the children's mental health charity, STEM4. Both of these amazing charities have supported Gumley House families over the years.
