Bethany
Bethany was a small village just outside Jerusalem. According to the New Testament, Jesus visited Bethany 11 times.
He lived there. It was the home of Martha, Mary and Lazarus. It is also believed to be the place where Jesus Ascended into heaven.
Bethany is a sacred space - and is the reason why we call our chapel 'Bethany'. |

Our Chapel is a religious place of friendship, fellowship, prayer and worship - and is located right at the heart of our school community. This is reflective of how Christ is at the centre of our school; in the way we treat each other and the way we conduct ourselves. Bethany is regularly used for small group masses, Chaplaincy and RE events, reconciliation, retreats - and personal prayer.
It is a space that is recognised by both staff and students alike to be a peaceful, inviting and Bethany is a safe place - free from the stress and worries of our daily lives. It is open throughout the day for use by anyone in the school.
At the back of the Chapel is a space that can be used for any of the many chaplaincy activities that take place throughout the week, from a quiet space for both staff and students to take time in prayer and discussion to planning meetings with students.
